Foxface Characterization - Physical traits to external & internal conflicts

Foxface is a very interesting character in the hunger games. She's smart, sly and elusive. She manages to outsmart many tributes, but cannot win in the end. There are many things about her that are going to be covered in this presentation.

Foxface gets her name from her features - "A fox faced girl with sleek red hair" (43).

She's also very fast, allowing her strategies to combine with her wits - "...a figure darts out of the cornucopia, snags the backpack, and speeds off" (269).

Aside from her physical traits, her personality traits are very important to any success she had in the games. Some examples of this are - "The fox-faced girl is sly and elusive" (120)

"She's smarter than the careers" (216) and "There's something about that sly grin that makes me sure befriending her would get a stab in my back" (216).
These traits combine in the book to help her out immensely, and only dies because of a mistake.

I tried to find traits related to Foxface's district, district 5 in the book but I could not find anything. I tried looking up an online book to search through quickly as well, but could find nothing. The only information I could find about district 5 is through Google, and it says that they are the district that provides power and electricity to the rest of Panem.

Foxface goes through some conflicts in the book. An example of an external conflict she goes through is when she dies from eating the nightlock berries. "...what's left of Foxface's emancipated body is lifted in the air" (304).
An example of an internal conflict is when she is trying not to step on the mines. "...carefully places her feet p a spot. Then she approaches the pyramid with strange hops" (206)
